Brenda joined Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold LLP as a partner in 2008. She practices exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate administration, and fiduciary law. She assists individuals and families to identify and implement their estate planning goals and objectives, utilizing the instruments and techniques best suited to each client’s needs and desires. In addition to preparing simple wills and revocable living trusts, Brenda has experience implementing various charitable planning techniques, and utilizing a variety of irrevocable trusts, gift transfers and business entities to accomplish the clients' goals of transferring wealth to following generations, while reducing or eliminating estate and inheritance taxes.
Brenda also routinely represents personal representatives and trustees, advising them of their fiduciary duties and responsibilities. She has experience Petitioning the Court for instruction, interpretation or reformation of existing trust instruments or wills. She not only represents trustees and personal representatives to protect their personal interests when dealing with litigious beneficiaries; but she, together with her litigation partners, also represents beneficiaries when necessary to protect their interests in situations where a fiduciary has failed to properly administer an estate or trust.
Brenda has served on the Maricopa County Superior Court Probate Committee responsible for establishing Local Rules that relate to probate estate administration. She also served on a state committee responsible for making recommendations to the Arizona legislature regarding the adoption of uniform guardianship, conservatorship and trust laws. Brenda has served on the Executive Council of the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar and on the Executive Council of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the Maricopa County Bar. She is a frequent speaker in the legal community on a variety of topics pertinent to estate planning and probate and trust administration.
