Kevin Ganser is a senior associate with Frazer Ryan and is licensed in Arizona and California. His practice focuses primarily on wills and trusts, tax planning, and probate and trust administration, with experience in real estate, business formation, business transactions, property tax and state and local tax matters.
In his practice, Kevin works with a wide variety of
estate planning clients, ranging from young families establishing their first estate plan to high net worth clients and business owners seeking income and estate tax minimization or the implementation of charitable strategies. In this regard, Kevin is adept at researching, recommending and implementing advanced tax planning and asset protection strategies such as:
Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs)
Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts (IDGTs)
Generation Skipping Dynasty Trusts (GST Trusts)
Charitable Split Interest Trusts (CRTs and CLATs)
Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (QPRTs)
Asset Protection Trusts (APTs)
Kevin is also an experienced
probate and trust administration attorney, having worked on dozens of simple and complex matters, including trusts and probates contested by family members or aggressive third-party creditors.
Finally, Kevin has provided transactional counsel on a variety of matters such as commercial and residential
real estate transfers,
corporate transactions, corporate succession planning, California and Arizona property tax, and
state and local tax.
Before moving back to his home state of Arizona, Kevin lived, worked and attended law school in the San Francisco Bay area. While attending law school, Kevin specifically focused his attention on estate planning and tax law. To this end, Kevin completed a joint J.D./LL.M. program in which he obtained an advanced legal Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Taxation, at a school consistently regarded as one of the top institutions for programs
of that nature. In addition to his academic focus on estate planning and tax law, Kevin acquired practical experience in this practice area by serving in California courts as a legal extern at the San Francisco Superior Court, Probate Division, and later as a volunteer Legal Research Attorney for the San Mateo Superior Court, Probate Division in the heart of Silicon Valley, where he was responsible for reviewing all trust, probate, and guardianship/conservatorship petitions on the court’s daily calendar and making judicial recommendations on such matters.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys entertaining his two daughters and wife and spending time with his friends and family in the Phoenix area. Kevin also enjoys cars, cooking, skiing, travel, and photography, and makes a point to follow the Arizona Wildcats and his favorite teams in the NFL, European soccer and Formula One racing.
