Phoenix Arizona Mental Health & Elder Law

Dealing with one's own mental or physical incapacity or disability, or that of a loved one, is often overwhelming, both emotionally and legally. The Mental Health & Elder Law Practice at Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold LLP provides thoughtful and sensitive counsel to Arizona individuals and families dealing with mental health issues and disorders, developmental disabilities, and the elderly. In addition to working with individuals and families, our experienced disability lawyers also provide counsel and advocacy to private fiduciaries and institutional providers of Human Services to assist them in meeting their legal and ethical responsibilities toward clients with disabilities.

We are well suited to helping families in this area. The managing partner of our Phoenix Mental Health and Elder Law Practice, Charles L. Arnold, is certified by the Arizona Supreme Court as a private Fiduciary, and by the State Bar of Arizona as a Specialist in Estate and Trust Law.

Often, our clients come to us in the midst of that overwhelming process, and we assist them in cutting through the proverbial "red tape" and preparing the necessary legal documents and attending to the necessary proceedings. Experience has taught us, however, that pre-disability planning and counsel is usually the best way for a family to begin addressing those anticipated needs and we can help. We offer clients an opportunity to effect complete life care plans or a more specific plan designed to fit the unique needs of the disabled beneficiary. Through the use of carefully drawn trust documents, powers of attorney, and other life planning documents, one's wishes, thoughts, and concerns can be manifested in such a way as to assure successful management of the needs of the presently or potentially disabled beneficiary.
