Jerri S. Buchtel, who has served as Frazer Ryan’s Director of Administration since 2013, has retired after more than 25 years of distinguished service as a law firm administrator.

Her retirement is effective March 31, 2023. However, she will continue to assist us as needed through the end of the year.

Our new Firm Administrator is Teresie Zmyslinski, who joined Frazer Ryan’s administrative leadership team in April 2022 as Jerri’s successor. For the last year, Teresie and Jerri have worked closely to ensure a seamless transition.

“Jerri has been an indispensable part of Frazer Ryan’s growth and profitability over the past 10 years,” said Managing Partner Jim Ryan at Jerri’s March 17 retirement party. “Her attention to detail and leadership skills proved to be valuable assets for the Firm and its employees, including being recognized by BestCompaniesAZ ‘Top Companies to Work For.’ Jerri’s impact on the Firm has been immeasurable.”

Jerri began her career in law firm administration in 1998, serving as Administrator at three local law firms and the Phoenix office of a national firm before accepting the opportunity to join Frazer Ryan.

She has been a member of the International Association of Legal Administrators for 25 years and served as president of the Arizona Chapter in 2004-2005 and again in 2020-2021. In addition, she served as a regional officer for the International Association of Legal Administrators from 2007 to 2009 and was a member of the Business Partner Relations Committee from 2015 to 2018.
